Age divisions will be U12/U14/U16/U18, open to both girls and boys. The leagues will run 6-7 weeks, with matches taking place on Tuesday nights. The last 1-2 weeks will be playoff/championship. Time blocks for matches will consist of 1 hour:

6:30 – 7:30
7:30 – 8:30
8:30 – 9:30

So, for example one week your team could be scheduled for a 6:30 – 7:30 match, the following week you could play 8:30 – 9:30.

Matches will be best out of 3 sets (21 point sets), beach rules (no open hand serve receive etc. but we might modify the rules (bring the end lines in a few feet) for the very younger fresher players). Records (standings) and schedules will be posted weekly on the Bearfoot Website.

Depending on the number of teams. We will throw in some double headers. So, for some weeks you would stay and play for 2 hours etc.

We will group each age division according to skill/experience level pending registrations. For example, if there are 18 U14 teams registered, and 9 registers as “Beginner”, I will break this age division up into 2 groups (Group A and Group B). Group A being Competitive, Group B being Beginner.

Subs will be allowed (for out of town/vacation scenarios), just not during playoffs/championship. Prizes will be awarded for 1st place, each Group, example 12 U14 teams registered – Group A 1st place and Group B 1st place.

Beginners are welcome here. If your kiddo loves this game, and wants to grow their game – play doubles. Do not be afraid if they have never participated. The action is non stop for the player, and they really fall in love with the sport. For new players, we call this phase Mistake Mountain, and it is perfectly normal and OK. It is part of the process. As a player, you have to make all the mistakes along the way to the top. And as parents and coaches, we want them to make the mistakes faster so they themselves can conquer them.

The doubles format creates such better indoor players when we roll them back into 6v6. It’s the fastest way to learn, due to the sheer number of reads/touches on a live volleyball.

Price per team will be $80.00 ($40 individually).

The leagues will be sanctioned though USAV Carolina Region (general liability insurance), so a current USAV membership is required. If you played indoor through the club, your membership is current, you can simply log into https://webpoint.usavolleyball.org/ and obtain your USAV Member ID). If you did not play indoor club, you will need to register for a USAV “Summer Membership” ($15.00). You can register for that and obtain your USAV Member ID here, https://webpoint.usavolleyball.org/wp/memberships/join.wp?mbr_ChapterID=9321
